Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 9 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. San Juan is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around San Juan is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. I've taken my truck back more than 4 times cause I still have warranty. He rebuilt my transmission and every time that I've taken it back there's something else wrong w it. He charged me $1,650 plus 140 for fixing some wires that were burnt but he didnt fix anything so I had an electrical mechanic look at it and paid him for a job that I had already paid Mr. Garcia for which was the 140 smh. On top of that he didn't even tighten up the fly wheel to my truck so it sounded horrible. Of course I took it back and he said it was the starter well turns out he stole my starter that I just bought a yr ago and put a junk yard one on. DO NOT SPEND A PENNY HERE. THIS BUSINESS IS NOT TRUST WORTHY.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!! Took my chevy traverse for transmission problems and supposedly they fixed it and charged almost 4,000$ and only 3 months warranty I had problems the second month and took it back and they said it was not the transmission even though two other auto parts mechanics told me it was. Took it today to another transmission place and they told me that they didnβt change the catalytic converter and Garcias transmissions cant do anything anymore because the 3 month warranty is over, they charged for work they didnβt do stay away from this place they just want youβre money!!!

what I find great about Garcia's Transmission Shop is that customer service, quality repairs, friendly prices and all around nice people. They provide positive experience for customers, making it a reliable choice for transmission service. I took my transmission and got it fixed without any issues. They will also ensure future customers have the support and attention they require to keep their cars running smoothly.

I took my car for a transmission repair, and they told me I needed to change the torque converter. So they changed it and gave me 6 months warranty. The torque converter started to mess up(5th month), took it back and they will not honor the warranty. Be careful of this shop; they're not honest.".

Ignorant, donβt care, or both. Took vehicle due to multiple warning lights being turned on in the dashboard, but the car was working fine. Codes were transmission in nature according to the scanner so I took it to this transmission shop. I was told what the issue supposedly was and what parts to buy so they could fix it. I get a call that the car is ready but that the lights on the dashboard continue to be on. They tell me despite the lights being on, the car is working fine just like I dropped it off since the beginning. They still charged me the full amount because they claimed they did worked/changed the part they had originally said it was causing the warning lights to turn on. They said I had to take it to another mechanic because it was probably an electrical issue. I SHOULD HAVE read the reviews on this place. Save your money/time and go to a knowledgeable transmission mechanic.
